Keith and Schnars designed the widening of Griffin Road from US 98 to SR 33. Because the project involved widening a rural 2-lane facility to an urban 4-lane section and major intersection improvements/signalization at North Florida Avenue, extensive coordination with F.D.O.T. was necessary. Keith and Schnars also designed the linking of a new 16” water main with an existing 24” sanitary force main within the corridor.
Additionally, Keith and Schnars coordinated the relocation of utilities, designed the project’s new roadways and extended box culverts and assisted in the securing of all required permits.
This project was awarded the prestigious A.S.C.E. Ridge Branch 2003 Project of the Year Award.
